Inspired by the European barn aesthetic, the Farm to Table Great Room is a family room with a dramatic cathedral ceiling, hand-hewn wood timber trusses, and natural materials such as the hand-selected flagstone floor that also serves as an energy efficient natural heat collector in cool weather, as well as concealing the innovative radiant heated floors. The centerpiece of the space is a gracious fireplace that incorporates as its hearth, a mammoth fieldstone salvaged from a local quarry. The space is bathed in sunlight and made more intimate with finely detailed millwork and gracious antique furnishings collected by the client on their travels around the world.

The Oakhurst Kitchen design is inspired by traditional farmhouse kitchens and modern open plan spaces that meet the needs of the modern family. The farmhouse aesthetic is carried throughout the kitchen and breakfast room, which have detailed millwork and tall wainscotting, a glass-fronted butler’s pantry, multiple farm sinks, and vintage latch hardware. Chocolate brown walnut flooring and black marble countertops contrast the clean, white custom cabinetry to create the perfect backdrop for everyday family activities and entertaining.
